Dharna to resolve the problems of ASHA workers

Telangana Asha Workers Union CITU organized a dharna in front of Khammam Rural Mandal Primary Health Center (M.V. Palem) on Monday as per the call of the union’s state committee. They handed over a memorandum containing their problems to the medical officer of the Mandal Primary Health Center. Speaking on the occasion, CITU Khammam District Vice President Perumallapalli Mohan Rao said that the promises made to the Asha workers by the Congress Party and Revanth Reddy during the elections should be implemented. They should be given a salary of Rs. 26 thousand, and they should be provided with PF, ESI and accident insurance facilities.
They demanded immediate payment of February salary and additional remuneration for additional work. He called for a 48-hour dharna to be held in front of the Collectorates in all districts across the state on Tuesday and Wednesday to be successful. Union Mandal President B. Malleswari, Secretary B. Jyoti, District Leaders Subhadra, Bhagyamma, Mandal Leaders Krishnaveni, Suramma, Aruna, Savitri, Thirapamma, Mamatha, Nagamani, Jyoti, Manjula, Uppalamma participated in this program.
