Jharsuguda: Good news for the domestic fliers! Now, direct flight services to Raipur and Lucknow from Jharsuguda airport (Veer Surendra Sai Airport) will begin from tomorrow.
Under the new destination policy of the Odisha government, direct flights on Jharsuguda-Raipur-Jharsuguda and Jharsuguda- Lucknow- Jharsuguda will commence from tomorrow, informed the Commerce & Transport Department of the State government.
According to the department, flights on Jharsuguda-Raipur-Jharsuguda route will be available on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. Likewise, the flights on Jharsuguda- Lucknow- Jharsuguda route will be available on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Regional airline operator Star Air will provide the flight services on both the routes, said the department.
Noteworthy that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on December 30, 2024 had announced that Jharsuguda airport will be introduced to four more cities of the country- Hyderabad, Lucknow, Raipur and Mumbai from January 1.
With today’s development, it is now expected that the flight services between Jharsuguda and Hyderabad and Jharsuguda and Mumbai will also commence in near future.
