District Court sentenced bookie to 7 years imprisonment
Durg: Deepak Nepali, the biggest bookie in the district and the one who runs the panel of Mahadev Satta App, has been sentenced to 7 years imprisonment by the Durg Court. He had come out of jail on bail only a few months ago. The court has convicted Deepak along with his two companions and sentenced them.
chhattisgarh news Vaishali Nagar Police had registered a case of assault against Deepak Singh alias Deepak Nepali and his two companions in 2022. According to the information received from the police, Deepak Nepali and his two companions Gurmeet Singh and Santosh Sharma alias Mathura had reached Ram Mohan Sahu’s Daily Needs shop in Subhash Chowk Camp 1 at 11 pm on May 20.

These people bought cigarettes and gutkha from Ram Mohan. When he asked for money, these people started abusing him. During this, the dispute escalated so much that Deepak and his companions took out the knife they had with them and attacked the shopkeeper. They stabbed him several times from his face to his neck. After this, all three fled from there.
Hearing this case, the court of Additional Sessions Judge/Special Judge Durg (CG) Sanjeev Kumar Tamak found Deepak and his companions guilty under Section 324/34 and 25/27 of the Arms Act. For this, they have been sentenced to 7 years of rigorous imprisonment.
