Divorce of rapper Honey Singh and his wife

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday granted divorce to rapper Honey Singh and his wife. The divorce case involved allegations of domestic violence by Honey Singh’s wife. It was alleged that she was mentally, physically, emotionally, sexually and financially exploited by Singh and his family and hence lived in fear.

However, the charges were later dropped after the parties reached a settlement.

According to the agreement, Mr Singh had handed over a letter of Rs 1 billion to his wife in September last year.

Before the divorce order was passed, Family Court Chief Justice Paramjit Singh asked whether the couple would try to reconcile, to which the singer replied that there was no possibility of the two living together.
