DK Shivakumar: Appointments to boards, corporations at any time
Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, who is also the KPCC president, has expressed confidence that appointments to boards and corporations will be made soon and names of party workers along with MLAs will be considered as suggested by the party high command.
Asked about the delay in appointments, he told reporters, “There is a list of 40-50 names, including party workers… Appointments can happen any time.”
According to informed sources, AICC President Mallikarujun Kharge, who is in Bengaluru, may give his assent to the list after which the list will be made public.
During his recent visit to Delhi, both CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar held a marathon meeting at his flat. Even when the list was prepared, top party leaders, especially Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi, blocked it as only MLAs and MLCs were being considered for the posts.
