DMK Alliance Will Win: Premalatha

Tamil Nadu: DMDK General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakant has stated that news of the DMK alliance’s victory in the Assembly elections will emerge on May 4th, following the declaration of the results. She further asserted that a government would once again be formed in Tamil Nadu, and M.K. Stalin would take the oath as Chief Minister.
On the occasion of May Day, Premalatha Vijayakant garlanded the statue of the party’s founder, Vijayakant, at the DMDK office in Koyambedu, Chennai, and paid her tributes to him. Subsequently, she interacted with the media.
Speaking to reporters, she declared that the DMK alliance’s victory is certain and that official confirmation of this would be received on May 4th. She also expressed confidence that relations with all political parties would remain cordial and that the political atmosphere would remain balanced.
Premalatha claimed that, with Vijayakant’s blessings, 10 DMDK legislators would secure seats in the Assembly. She acknowledged that the party has been facing continuous criticism, yet maintained that the DMDK is emerging as a formidable political force.
She remarked that “stones are being thrown” at the DMDK because it is a fruit-bearing tree—implying that the party is being targeted precisely due to its growing popularity. She also clarified that she would address and respond to the criticisms leveled against the party on May 4th.
In her statement, Premalatha Vijayakant expressed confidence that the political landscape would become clear following the upcoming results, and the public’s mandate would be revealed. She also appealed to party workers to remain united.
Following this statement by the DMDK leader, discussions regarding the election results have intensified within Tamil Nadu’s political circles. All eyes are now fixed on the results scheduled to be announced on May 4th.
