Doctor, nurses assaulted over patient’s death in Bhubaneswar; two arrested 

Commissionerate Police on Thursday arrested two youths for assaulting a doctor, nurses and security guards of a private hospital located along the Cuttack-Puri road under Badagada police limits in Bhubaneswar. 

According to a source, the arrested youths had admitted their relative to the hospital. The doctors there advised them to take their relative to another hospital for better treatment as their relative was suffering from multiple complications. 

Following the advice, they took their patient to a comparatively bigger hospital. However, the patient died there. 

Later, the two youths returned to the hospital and created a ruckus. Unleashing a reign of terror for some time, they attacked a doctor, nurses and even the security guards. 

The doctor on duty is learnt to have suffered injuries in the attacks. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the hospital. 

On being informed, a police team from Badagada police station reached the spot and apprehended the youths, whose identities they are yet to reveal. Registering a case, the cops have launched a probe.
