Double-engine govt spent Rs 30k cr on Goa’s devpt: CM

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that the double-engine government has spent Rs 30,000 crore on human and infrastructure development in Goa.

Sawant was addressing a gathering at the PM’s meeting at the KTC bus stand in Fatorda on Tuesday.

“Due to the double-engine government, hundred percent households in state have been covered for electricity, water and LPG connections. Roads have been built even in remote areas. We were able to deliver skilled, re-skilled and up-skilled programmes, besides promoting the seven flagship schemes of the Centre,”
said Sawant.

Citing the Panaji-Reis Magos ropeway project worth Rs 290 crore, Sawant said that the Centre always backs the state in its endeavour to become the touristic hub of the country.

“With the help of the central government, we held the Purple fest in Goa, which showcases the skills of special persons and promotes inclusivity. We also held national sports events.
