Drinking water supply will be suspended in the Thiruvottiyur and Madhavaram areas tomorrow.

Tamil Nadu: Piped drinking water supply will be suspended in some areas of Tiruvottiyur and Manali zones from 10 AM to 10 PM on Monday due to work on connecting the main drinking water pipeline near JK Mahal on Chengunram Road and at the Madhavaram booster drinking water distribution station.
A press release issued by the Chennai Water Board stated: Due to main water pipe connection work at Madhavaram, near JK Mahal on Chengunram Road, and at the Madhavaram booster water distribution station, the Tiruvottiyur water distribution station and the Madhavaram booster water distribution station will be temporarily shut down from 10 AM to 10 PM on Monday.
Zone 1 (Tiruvottiyur) – Areas including Ernavur, Raja Shanmuga Nagar, and Kargil Nagar.
Zone 2 (Manali) – Areas including Manali New Town, Nappalayam, Sadayankuppam, Andarkuppam, Dwaraka Nagar, Manali, and Mathur.
Therefore, the public is advised to store drinking water as needed and can avail of drinking water through tankers for emergency requirements by registering through the board’s website. It has also been stated that drinking water supply through tanks and tankers will continue as usual without any interruption in areas without piped water connections and in areas with low water pressure.
