Drug smuggler arrested, 2 kg 30 grams opium seized

Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh): In a joint operation of Special Task Force (STF) and Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), narcotics were seized in Bijnor, UP and a person was arrested on charges of opium smuggling.

A senior police officer said that acting on specific information, a raid was conducted by STF in Kalagarh area of Uttarakhand, UP border and at least 2 kg 30 grams of opium was seized.

The police team has also seized a mobile phone from the possession of the drug smuggler. The smuggler has been identified as Malkit Singh. He is a native of Bhogpur village of Bijnor.
