Drugs found in medical store, police raided
Bilaspur. On the complaint of the medical shop operator selling intoxicating medicines to the youth at expensive rates at his home, a team of police and drug inspector led by CSP raided. The team has seized intoxicating injections and banned tablets from the house and shop of the medical store operator. Police arrested the medical store operator and took action against him under NDPS Act. According to the information, on the information of the informer under the leadership of CSP, the team of police and drug inspector raided the residence and shop of the operator of Darsh Medical Shop located on Janpadpara Road. The police had received a complaint that the operator was keeping banned injections and tablets in the medical shop and home and selling them to the youth at higher prices. The police surrounded the Darsh medical shop and caught the operator and interrogated him.
After searching the shop of operator Jyoti Jaiswal’s husband Devesh Jaiswal (28) and the house located in Janpadpara, the police seized a total of 310 pieces of banned intoxicating injections and 318 pieces of banned intoxicating tablets. The value of the seized medicines is said to be Rs 83,000. The drug inspector has taken action against the shop. In this case, the Kotwali police registered an offense under Section 21(C), 22(C) of the NDPS Act against the operator Jyoti Jaiswal and arrested the accused and presented him in the court. In the action, drug inspector Anil Kumar Paikra, Alok Kumar Maurya, SI Sunita Bhardwaj from police station Kotwali, ASI Abhishek Pandey along with Anju Ekka, Amit Pratap Singh, Chhatrapal Singh, constable Mantu Gupta, Vimal Kumar, Shiv Rajwade, Roopchand Ekka, soldier Shyam Sahu. The team remained involved.
