Drunken man brutally murdered his wife, accused arrested

Sitapur. Sitapur police station has arrested an accused in a murder case and has lodged him in jail under judicial custody. According to the police, on April 8, the applicant in the case, Madho Ram, resident of Katkalo Dumarpara, Sitapur lodged a report that on April 7, a Dashakarma program was organized at the house of Nohar Sai in the village locality, during which the applicant’s elder father, accused Regtu and his elder mother Sakhapati. Both were under the influence of alcohol.

A mutual dispute arose between the two, due to which the accused Regtu Ram got enraged and committed a fatal attack with a hanger kept in the house. Due to which Sakhapati suffered fatal injuries on his head, wrist, near the eye brow, forehead and other parts of the body and the deceased died on the spot. On which a case under Section 302 IPC has been registered and taken under investigation. The police team searched the address of the accused Regatu Ram, aged 55 years, resident of Katkalo, and arrested him from his house and sent him on remand.
