ECI issues gazette notification for 3rd Telangana Assembly

Hyderabad: The Election Commission of India (ECI) released a notification in the ballot paper and shared the details of the recently elected MLAs to establish the third Legislative Assembly of Telangana. To this effect, Director of Elections, Vikas Raj and Secretary Chief of ECI, Avinash Kumar met Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan on Monday. Submission of notification containing details of the newly elected MLAs and their party affiliation as well as the electoral districts they represent. Later the Governor dissolved the second assembly of the state. The decision was taken in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 174 (2) (b) of the Constitution of India, according to an official statement issued by the Raj Bhavan, which said it resulted from a resolution adopted by the Council of Ministers. ., The second Legislative Assembly was dissolved with effect from the afternoon of 3 December.
