Elderly man clashes with crocodile to save grandson, seriously injured in attack

Korba: A crocodile attacked the house late at night in Pali Shivpur of Korba district. He attacked people sleeping at home. In this attack, an elderly man fought with the crocodile to save his grandson. During this he got seriously injured. At present he has been sent to the hospital for treatment.

According to the information received, at around four in the morning a crocodile suddenly attacked a house in Pali Shivpur. He was about to attack the small child sleeping at home when the child’s grandfather Hari Ram Toppo noticed him and fought with the crocodile. During this, the crocodile bit his hand due to which he was seriously injured. Sarpanch Raju Jagat reached the spot and immediately informed the forest department. At present the injured Hari Ram has been taken to the hospital where his treatment is going on. The Forest Department is also investigating the matter.
