Elephants snatched the happiness of the family, 2 members died
Jashpur: The havoc of elephants continues in the district. Last night, a group of elephants broke a house in village Kersai of Tapkara forest range and killed two real brothers sleeping in the house by thrashing them, while other members of the family ran away and saved their lives. On receiving information about the incident, the forest department team has reached the spot. Let us tell you that incidents of elephant attacks are continuously coming to the fore in the district. Due to which there is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers.
According to the information, a group of five elephants reached Village Kersai of Tapkara on Friday night. During this, the group of elephants broke a house while creating havoc and attacked and killed two real brothers Kokade (45 years) and Padwa sleeping in the house.
There is mourning in the house due to the death of both the brothers. On receiving the information of the incident, the forest department team and police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem. Jashpur DFO Jitendra Upadhyay is also present on the spot. The forest department is constantly advising people to stay away from elephants and announcements are being made in all the nearby villages.
