Encounter between police and Naxalites, fierce firing

Sukma. An encounter has taken place between police and Naxalites in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. It is being told that the Naxalites have attacked the soldiers who went on the search. However, the soldiers also took charge and gave a befitting reply to the Naxalites’ bullets. There is no news of any casualty in the firing so far. On the second day of Naxalites’ martyrdom week, that is today, the jawans were taken out for searching in the core area of Naxalites. The matter is of Chintagufa police station area. In fact, the Sukma police had received information from an informer that hardcore Naxalites Raju and Masa were present in Chhotekedwal forest.

On the basis of this information of the informer, a team of jawans was taken out for the spot. On the other hand, as soon as the jawans reached the area on Saturday morning, the Naxalites, who were already ambushed here, opened fire on the jawans. Meanwhile, the force also took charge and gave a befitting reply to the Naxalites’ bullets. There was firing from both sides for about 1 hour. It is being told that, seeing the jawans being overwhelmed, the Naxalites have escaped under the cover of dense forest. The jawans are still present on the spot. The area is being searched. Police officers say that all the information can be given only after the jawans return.
