Engineer, two plumbers die due to electric shock inside water tank
New Delhi. Three people, including an electrical engineer, died of electric shock at a local hospital in outer Delhi on Friday.The incident took place inside the water tank in the hospital premises.
The deceased have been identified as Sarvesh Kumar (59), resident of Sahibabad, and Kunwar Pal (40) and Raman (20), residents of Hastsal village. Sarvesh was an electrical engineer by profession while the other two were plumbers.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Harendra Singh said that on Friday afternoon at 2:48 pm, information was received about people trapped in an electric shock incident at Commander Hospital of Vikas Nagar in Ranhaula police station.
“A police team was sent to the spot and found three people dead in a water tank inside the hospital premises,” the officer said.
The incident occurred when the three had gone inside the tank to repair the motor. However, the exact developments are not yet known.
“The exact cause of death will be known after receiving the post-mortem report,” the DCP said.
