Engineer youth is cultivating roses

Raipur. Mahasamund farmer Amar Chandrakar, after returning to his village after completing his engineering studies, decided to pursue the experiment of rose cultivation in a modern way. In this work he got the support of grant and technology under the government’s horticulture scheme.

After taking training in flower farming from the Horticulture Department, he has now taken the trend of rose cultivation forward to the cultivation of Jharbera and Sevanti flowers. Today, it is supplied in metros like Raipur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Kolkata and Bengaluru etc. Are.

Similarly, in the rural areas adjacent to Jagdalpur, farmers are earning a good amount by cultivating roses. Sudarshan Patil tells that roses are being cultivated using modern technology inside the polyhouse. About 30 thousand rose plants are planted in one acre. One plant gives 25 to 30 flowers in a year, whose wholesale price in the market is four to five rupees. This is an example of how many such youth have now joined this modern farming method.

Let us tell you that the number of such youth is continuously increasing in Chhattisgarh, who after working in other fields including IT in the country and abroad, are now returning to their villages and making farming their career.
