Eunuchs took to the streets against molestation, protested in front of the police station
Jamshedpur: Eunuchs, angry over an incident of molestation and assault in Chandil under Seraikela district of Jharkhand, took to the streets and protested. They protested in front of Chandil police station and demanded the arrest of the accused of molestation and assault.
Due to the protest, the Tata-Ranchi highway was jammed for about an hour. Due to the jam, the route of the convoy of Union Minister of State for Defense and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, who was passing through this route, was also changed. He had to go to attend a program in Chandil area.
It was told that a group of eunuchs were asking for money from people near the toll plaza at Pata in Chandil police station area. Meanwhile, when two youths on a bike reached the spot, money was also demanded from them. It is alleged that the youths molested and beat up the eunuchs while asking for their mobile numbers.
After this incident, a large number of eunuchs gathered there. They demonstrated in front of the police station gate and during this time stopped the movement of vehicles on NH-32. Later, after the police convinced them and assured them of action against the youths, the eunuchs left from there.
