Mumbai: A child died after a loudspeaker fell during a Republic Day program in Vikhroli.

Maharashtra: A tragic incident occurred during Republic Day celebrations in Mumbai’s Vikhroli area, where a four-year-old girl died on January 26 after two loudspeakers fell on her. The deceased girl has been identified as Janhavi Solkar.
Incident in Vikhroli East
According to the police, the incident took place around 11 am in Tagore Nagar, Vikhroli East, where loudspeakers had been set up on a stand for a Republic Day function organized by a local group. Janhavi was reportedly playing near the spot at the time of the incident.
Loudspeakers Fell Accidentally
Police said that a scrap cloth dealer named Syed Guran was passing through the area carrying a bundle of clothes on his head. The bundle allegedly got entangled in the loudspeaker wires, causing the speakers to fall from the stand. As Guran moved forward, both loudspeakers fell on the girl, critically injuring her.
