Ex-BRS Leader, Former Municipal Chairman, Joins BJP, Shocks Voters

Voters shocked many who had served in the BRS party and then left for other parties after facing hardships. Gadipally Bhaskar, who won as a councilor from the BRS party in Gajwel Municipality in Medak district, was also given the post of chairman. He served as the municipal chairman for a total of six years from 2014 to 2020.

After the need arose, he left BRS and joined BJP. In this election, he fielded his wife Gadipalli Kalyani as the BJP candidate. But the voters were shocked. She was defeated by a margin of 529 votes. BRS candidate Goli Mamata won a landslide victory over her. Even though BJP MP Raghunandan Rao campaigned in the election, the BJP candidate did not get any benefit.
