Ex-YCP Minister Ambati Rambabu Remanded for 14 Days

Amaravati: A Guntur court has remanded YSRCP leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu for 14 days. Arrested in various cases, Rambabu was shifted from Rajahmundry Jail to Guntur court on Monday. A PT warrant was issued against Ambati Rambabu for misbehaving with the police during the agitation organized by YSRCP against the PPP policy in medical colleges.
In addition to this case, TDP leaders have registered cases against CM Chandrababu Naidu for making obscene comments during a protest organized over the Tirumala laddu issue. In this case too, he was brought for trial in the Guntur Special Judicial Magistrate Court.
The hearing on Ambati Rambabu’s bail petition and his petition for additional facilities in jail continued on Monday. After being remanded, he was sent back to Rajahmundry jail.
