Excise department raided 9 places, seized illegal liquor

Balrampur. To ban the illegal sale of liquor on the instructions of Collector Remigius Ekka, the Excise Department is continuously conducting raids in the district under the guidance of District Excise Officer Mr. Gajendra Kumar Singh. In this series, Assistant District Excise Officer Mr. S.K. While taking action Suryavanshi’s team seized 4 liters of Mahua liquor from Makhan Soni of village Santoshi Nagar, 3 liters of Mahua liquor from Laxman of village Oberi, 2 liters of Mahua liquor from Rajat Gupta of village Paksara under Balrampur police station area. Section 34(1) of the Excise Act by confiscating 3 liters of Mahua liquor from Shanti Yadav of village Kandakhas, 4 liters from Mahendra Ram, resident of ward no. ) has been established.

Similarly, Sanjay Yadav of Daldhova village, Ranjit Gupta of Lurgikala, Ramdhani of Kandakhas, Jeetram of Kusmi were found consuming liquor in a public place and 0.1ml was seized from them respectively. Section 36(f) of the Excise Act was invoked by confiscating foreign liquor, and 4.5 liters of foreign liquor was seized from Shivkumar, a resident of Kurludih, police station Sanawal, and 3.6 liters of foreign liquor was seized from Ravi Gupta, a resident of village Baikunthpur, police station Trikunda. Section 34(1)(a) 36 of the Act has been laid down. A case has been prepared against all the accused under the Excise Act and presented in the court for challan.
