Excise team caught liquor seller

Mahasamund. On Tuesday, based on the informer’s information, the Joint Excise Team searched the possession of Mangal alias Bhupendra Kumar Nishad, 38 years of age, Sakin Pacheda Village, Police Station-Khallari, under Circle Mahasamund Rural, and found a white plastic sack from the possession of the accused. A total of 38 pavs of country liquor were kept, the capacity of each pav was 180 ml, the total quantity was 6.840 bulk, the market price was Rs 3420. After investigation, the liquor was duly seized and excise was taken and Section 34 (1) (a) of the Excise Act 1915 was registered against the accused. A case was registered under sections 34(2) and 59(A).

The said action was taken under the leadership of Excise Circle Mahasamund Rural In-charge, Assistant District Excise Officer Deepak Kumar Thakur. In which Excise Sub-Inspector Daras Ram Soni, Shri Vikas Badhendra, Hriday Kumar Tirpude, Constable Devesh Manjhi, Sanjay Tiwari and Excise Staff Mahasamund were present.
