Expected business of Rs 3 lakh crore in this year’s festive season starting from Raksha Bandhan: Amar Parwani

Raipur. National Senior Vice President of Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), the country’s largest trade organization, Amar Parwani, Chairman Magelal Malu, Amar Gidwani, State President Jitendra Doshi, Executive President Vikram Singhdev, Parmanand Jain, Vashu Makhija, General Secretary Surinder Singh, Executive General Secretary. Bharat Jain and Treasurer Ajay Aggarwal said that this is the first year after Covid when people are very excited about festivals across the country including the state and activity has started to be seen in the markets. According to the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), considering this purchasing trend, it is expected that during this year’s festival season, there is a possibility of trade worth about Rs 3 lakh crore across the country. Last year, trade worth about Rs 2.5 lakh crore was done in this season.

CAT National Senior Vice President Amar Parwani and State President Jitendra Doshi told that this time the Diwali festival season has started from Raksha Bandhan which will continue till Tulsi Vivah on 23rd November. Currently, it is the festive season from 15th October to Navratri, Ramleela, Dussehra, Durga Puja, Karva Chauth, Dhan Teras, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj, Chhath Puja and Tulsi Vivah and in this season, as per the demand of the customers, traders across the country are Has made major preparations to make the goods available widely.

Parwani and Doshi said that the basis for estimating the business of about Rs 3 lakh crore in this festival season is very simple because there are about 60 crore consumers in India for retail sales in the markets and if we consider the expenditure to be only Rs 5000 per person. The figure of Rs 3 lakh crore can be obtained very easily.

Parwani and Doshi further said that now that people have completely left the Covid crisis behind and are having a very positive outlook towards their lives, they want to celebrate the festive season with celebration and prosperity. Including household goods, appliances, gifts, clothing, jewellery, imitation jewellery, utensils, decorative items, furniture and fixtures, utensils, consumer electronics, automobiles, mobiles, laptops, computers and peripherals, electrical goods, sweets and salty confectionery, fruits Consumers are expected to spend largely on purchases of other goods.
