External Affairs Minister S. to host Joe Biden during G20 Thanks to Jaishkar
Washington: Following their one-on-one meeting at the US State Department, Secretary of State Antony Blinken thanked Secretary of State S. Thanked Jaishkar, who is currently in Washington for the second leg of his US tour. Earlier in a post on Twitter on Thursday, Jaishankar said: “It was great to meet my friend US Secretary of State Blinken at the State Department today. Extensive discussions followed PM Narendra Modi’s June visit.”

Before meeting the Foreign Secretary, Jaishankar also told reporters that “We thank the US for all the support in the G20 summit….” In response, Blinken said at the Discussed the upcoming US-India 2 Plus 2 meeting in New Delhi.
Regarding the meeting with the External Affairs Minister, he told media persons, “We have had very good discussions in the last weeks, at the G20, in New York and at the General Assembly.” Jaishankar began his US tour from New York, where he led the Indian delegation to the annual UN General Assembly meetings. Apart from Blinken, he also met National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Trade Secretary Katherine Tai at the White House. In his meeting with Sullivan, both officials recognized the tremendous progress made in our bilateral relations this year and discussed how to build on it. Subsequently, he met Secretary Tai and discussed the expansion of trade and economic ties and its broader significance.
