Saharanpur (IANS) | UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that no curfew no riots, everything is fine in UP. No extortion, no ransom, now UP is no one’s inheritance. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said these things while addressing an election rally at Maharaj Singh Degree College ground on Janta Road on Monday.
With the first public meeting from Saharanpur, the BJP under the leadership of the Chief Minister has started a vigorous campaign for victory in the municipal elections. He said that our identity is no longer of nuisance, but of festivals. This state has not become a mafia state, it has become a state of festivals. It is for us to decide whether there should be terror of martyrs in our cities or we will make it a safe city. We want to see guns in the hands of our youth or tablets and smartphones.
He said that the works done by the BJP government in the cities of UP were counted one by one. He said that today with the blessings of Maa Shakambhari and Mata Balasundari, I have started my election campaign from Saharanpur. We have taken the schemes of governance to the people without any discrimination, regardless of caste, creed and religion, with everyone’s support, everyone’s development, everyone’s faith, everyone’s effort. We have brought among you a qualified doctor for the post of Mayor from Saharanpur, who will cure all the diseases here. Our police is enough to deal with the mafia.
He said that this frontier district of UP is known for its rich historical heritage. Be it the world-renowned craft here for its amazing woodcraft, hardworking farmers, visionary and well-educated youth or our businessmen who continuously contribute in the progress in the field of industry and trade. Saharanpur is an important district of UP. Have been here more than a dozen times in the last six years. I come here again and again because I have seen its neglect very closely. There was no electricity here, there were riots and curfews. Saharanpur was also deprived of basic facilities. Let alone Lucknow, it used to take 7 to 8 hours to reach Delhi from here. Today the distance to Delhi is being covered in 3 hours. By the end of this year, the work of Delhi Saharanpur, Dehradun Expressway will be completed. Earlier youth had to go to Meerut for degree. Now a university is going to be established in the name of Maa Shakambhari.
Targeting the opposition, the Chief Minister said that before 2017, the governments did not have time to create riots. Here Sikh brothers were attacked while creating riots in connection with the Gurdwara. Today, let alone Saharanpur, there is no curfew anywhere in UP. Earlier there was the terror of the martyrs. People did not send their daughters away from home to study. Today a fear-free environment has been established in UP. Those who only talked about casteism, they exploited their own caste the most.
CM said that today urban areas are developing as best surveillance system. We are associating it with Safe City, where businessmen will be safe, daughters will also be safe and the city will also be safe. We have kept only one goal for UP, which is the vision of the PM, that is the mission of UP. Double engine government has given results like bullet train. Now do the work of adding the power of the triple engine to it. In Municipal Corporation, Municipality and Nagar Panchayat, the work of connecting the power of mayor, chairman and councilor has to be done. The money that will come from Delhi and Lucknow will be put to proper use.
