Fake bank branch opened and people were given fake jobs, FIR registered
Janjgir-Sakti. A case of giving jobs to half a dozen people by opening a fake branch of State Bank of India in Chhapora village of Sakti district has come to light. The case was revealed when the information about this new branch running for a week reached the regional officials of the bank, they expressed ignorance and immediately inquired about it. Initially, the names of three people from Raipur and Korba are coming to the fore in the case, against whom the allegation is being made of cheating lakhs of rupees in the name of getting a job in SBI by opening a fake branch. According to the information received, the police team had received information about the opening of a new branch of State Bank of India in Sakti district for the last one week. During this time, when the police officers got suspicious, they confirmed it from the bank officials. Meanwhile, the regional officer of State Bank of India also reached for inspection.
It is said that when the regional officer of State Bank of India reached Chhapora, he saw this new branch being operated on the lines of State Bank. During this time, they went inside and enquired from half a dozen employees working there, but the manager had not arrived and the information received about their appointment from the employees on enquiry made the bank officials take action and they immediately informed the police about it. On receiving the information, the police team reached the spot and information was taken from the concerned people. Thereafter, action was initiated after taking information regarding the complaint and provisions received from the bank officials in this regard. According to the police, initially the names of three accused have come to the fore in this fraud, out of which the main mastermind is said to be a resident of Raipur, while two people are from Korba. Anyway, the police is taking action to register a crime of fraud in this case.
