Takhatpur: On the occasion of Navratri, crowds of devotees are seen in temples in Takhatpur area. Devotees light the Manokamna Jyoti Kalash to fulfill their wishes. Navratri is in full swing in Takhatpur area. There is a crowd of devotees in the ancient Mahamaya temple here. Every day thousands of men, women and children are getting darshan of Mother Mahamaya.

A huge crowd is seen visiting the very ancient Chandi temple of Takhatpur. The Chandi temple of Takhatpur was built years ago by King Takhat Singh, since then the devotees of the area are receiving the blessings of Goddess Chandi. Manokamna Jyoti Kalash is established here by hundreds of devotees.

The most surprising thing is that after the Havan on the ninth day, hundreds of burning urns of Chandi Maa are carried on their heads by unmarried girls in a queue in the main streets of Takhatpur and the burning urns are immersed in the holy water of Maniyari river. Is cooled. History is witness to the fact that the urn of Chandi Temple has not been extinguished till date due to strong winds under the open sky. People of the area consider it a blessing from the mother.
