Faridabad: A four-year-old girl was beaten to death by her father with a rolling pin.

Faridabad: A disturbing incident of crime has came to light were a four-and-a-half-year-old girl died after allegedly being assaulted by her father for counting wrong. Incident occurred on Wednesday, 21st January, 2026 in family’s rented accommodation in Jhadsentli area.
According to reports, girl died after assault by her father for failing to write numbers from 1 to 50. Accused identified as, Krishna Jaiswal (31), was arrested following a complaint filed by his wife. Police stated, Jaiswal repeatedly assaulted the child and then brought her to a hospital, claiming she fell down the stairs. Doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
After initially corroborating her husband’s account, Ranjita, the wife of the accused, grew suspicious when their seven-year-old son, who witnessed the incident, revealed that his sister had been beaten. Noticing injuries on the child, Ranjita alerted the police. The child died from severe head injuries. A murder case has been registered against Jaiswal under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Sector 58 police station. He is currently on one-day police remand as authorities investigate the sequence of events and verify statements from family and neighbors.
Police said both parents work for a private firm in different shifts, the mother during the day and the father at night. Jaiswal stayed home during daytime to look after the children. The girl was not enrolled in any school and was being taught at home by her father.
Couple has two other children, both of whom were present at the house when the incident took place. Faridabad police spokesperson Yashpal said, “The child’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and the cause of death is being corroborated with medical findings. Further investigation is under way.”
