Farmers Protest Power Cut at Angadipet Substation

 Farmers staged a dharna at Angadipet substation in Gudipalli mandal of Nallagonda district. In Chilakamarri and Rollakal gram panchayats of the mandal, due to the lack of three-phase current for agriculture for the last ten days, peanut, chilli and fenugreek gardens are being used in addition to paddy crops. Protesting this, all the farmers staged a dharna at Angadipet substation on Wednesday to seek a solution to the current problem. The substation officials explained the problems to the AD and AE. In response, they assured that the current problem faced by the farmers would be resolved by tomorrow afternoon. With this, the farmers called off the dharna.
