Crews are working hard to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. A man trapped on the fourth floor jumped from the building to save himself from the fire. Luckily he landed on a tree and was taken to hospital. Police said that prima facie it appears that the fire broke out due to gas leakage in the kitchen of Mudpipe Hookah Cafe. Within no time the fire engulfed the entire pub.
The employees managed to escape the fire. As sheets and other equipment of the pub fell in the parking area, some two-wheelers also caught fire. It is also feared that eight to ten LPG cylinders exploded in the fire, causing severe damage to the building. According to media reports, there is also a car showroom in this building. Sadduguntepalya police is investigating the matter.
