Fire breaks out in state secretariat in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar (IANS). A fire broke out in the main building of Lok Seva Bhawan (State Secretariat) in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. There is no report of any casualty or major damage in the fire incident.

Around 10 am, some employees saw smoke coming from a room of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department on the first floor of the building. On receiving information, employees of Secretariat Fire Station reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

Deputy fire officer Abani Kumar Swain said, “The fire broke out in a room of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department due to a short circuit. The fire has been completely extinguished. An AC, a computer set and three plastic chairs were burnt in the fire.”
