Fire in a truck loaded with scrap, traffic jam
Ghaziabad: A truck loaded with scrap caught fire in Ghaziabad on Monday, causing a traffic jam for a long time. However, the fire brigade controlled the fire, after which the traffic could become normal.
According to the fire department, on Monday, the fire station Kotwali received information about a fire in a truck on the highway in Dasna in front of IMS College at 12.08 pm. After this, two fire brigade vehicles were sent to the spot. After a lot of hard work, the team controlled the fire in the truck (UP 12 AT 1643).
Truck owner Kishan Bhagat, resident of Loha Mandi was present at the spot. It was told that the truck was coming from Pilkhuwa to Ghaziabad. The vehicle was loaded with iron scrap. According to the fire department, when the fire broke out, the driver stopped the truck and saved his life by jumping. After this, the fire brigade was informed. Efforts are being made to find out the cause of the fire. There has been no loss of life in this incident. Due to the fire in the truck, there was a jam on Dasna Highway for a long time. However, after the fire in the truck was extinguished, the traffic became normal.
