Fire took the lives of three innocent people, father in hospital
Firozabad: A fire broke out in a nomad colony located in Kharid village of Jasrana in Firozabad, UP. Three innocent people were burnt alive in this. All three died a painful death by burning in the fire that broke out in the hut due to the spark of the bonfire. The fire engulfed the innocent children while they were fast asleep.
The father woke up after hearing the screams of the children suffering from fire. He tried to save the children but his one year old daughter and four year old son died in front of his eyes. A son and daughter were taken to the Trauma Center from where the doctors referred them to Agra. One of the girls died in Agra.
The children who died in the fire include four-year-old Anish, three-year-old Reshma and seven-year-old Saamna. While the children’s 33-year-old father Salim is also seriously burnt. Salim is undergoing treatment. According to the information received, a large number of villagers gathered after seeing the fire in the hut. He somehow controlled the fire and with the help of the police sent the injured to the district hospital for treatment.
The family has alleged that someone deliberately set the fire. The villagers say that the slum caught fire due to sparks from the bonfire. There was a settlement of Dera Banjaras here. There were about a hundred huts built in it. The family had got the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana but due to non-release of the third installment, the house is lying incomplete.
It is being told that the woman of the family had gone to fetch water late at night otherwise she too would have fallen prey to the fire. Officials who arrived on information about the incident took stock of the incident site.
