Firing in Rourkela: Youth shot by unknown miscreants during marathon
Rourkela: A fine Sunday morning turned fatal as Rourkela witnessed a firing during a Marathon. In this incident, a youth was fired by miscreants in sector 1 under Sector-3 police station area. The youth has been rushed to IGH for treatment. The reason behind firing in Rourkela is yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, as the bullet was shot it pierced into the back of the youth who died on the spot. However, further investigation will reveal who has committed the crime and what was the motive behind it.
The general public participating in the marathon was panic-stricken. Police reached the spot and started an investigation.
UPDATE
The injured has been identified as Salil Sahu, he is an employee of the railway department. Probe underway. He is in a stable condition now.
