Kerala: Student going to take college exam dies in road accident in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: A minivan collided with a college student’s scooter in Kunnamangalam on Wednesday, resulting in a fatal accident.

Wafa Fathima (19), a resident of Balussery Ekrol, was killed in the accident. She was a first-year undergraduate student of Travel and Tourism at Providence Women’s College in Kozhikode. The accident occurred while she was on her way to college to take an exam. Wafa, who was traveling towards Kunnamangalam, was hit by a minivan coming from the opposite direction. The collision left the girl on the ground and seriously injured. Despite being rushed to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, Wafa could not be saved. Eyewitnesses said the minivan was traveling at a high speed.
