Flowers showered by helicopter on Shiva devotee Kanwariyas in Prayagraj
Prayagraj (IANS). On the fourth Monday of Sawan, the Uttar Pradesh government showered flowers on Shiva devotees in Kumbh city Prayagraj from a helicopter. In honor of the shower of flowers, all the banks of the Sangam and the Ganges echoed with the shouts of ‘Bol-Bam’.
In the month of Shravan, the Sangam in Kumbh city Prayagraj and all the banks of the Ganges are colored with saffron. On Monday, flowers were showered by helicopter on the long queues of Shiva devotees carrying water from the Adi Shivalay Shri Brahmeshwar Mahadev Temple, Shri Mankameshwar Temple and Sangam Ghats to the city of Baba Vishwanath, Kashi Ganga.
DM Prayagraj Sanjay Kumar Khatri says that on the instructions of the government, flowers were showered on Shivbhakt Kanwaris in Prayagraj in four phases by helicopter. Apart from Sangam and all the banks of Maa Ganga, flowers have been showered in the routes of all the pagodas in the district through which Shiva devotees pass. The devotees of Shiva were overwhelmed by the shower of flowers from the helicopter.
Shiv devotee Rameshwar, who is taking the holy water of Triveni of Sangam to Kashi, the city of Baba Vishwanath, told that for more than a decade, he goes to Kashi with the water of Triveni in the month of Sawan. No government has given as much respect to the devotees of Shiva as Yogi ji has given.
Bhanu Pratap, who is going to offer Ganga water to the Padila Mahadev Temple after picking up a kanwar from the Dashashwamedh Ghat in Daraganj, is overwhelmed by the honor being given to the faith of the Kavadis. He says that it is not a shower of flowers but a shower of blessings of Mahadev, which can be done only by a saintly chief minister.
According to Police Commissioner Prayagraj Ramit Sharma, there is a system of continuous patrolling on all the routes and ghats through which Shiva devotees pass. Drones are being monitored at sensitive places. The administration is keeping special vigilance and arrangements on the cut or contact routes. Signages have been installed at blind turns on Kawand routes. It has also been ensured that egg-meat-fish shops should not open on the route of their journey under any circumstances.
