Forest Minister Kashyap wishes the people of the state a Happy Diwali
Raipur. Forest and Climate Change, Water Resources, Cooperatives and Skill Development and Parliamentary Minister Kedar Kashyap congratulated and wished the people of the state on the occasion of Diwali. Minister Kashyap said in his message of greetings to the people of the state that the festivals and fairs of Bastar, which encompass cultural and traditional heritage, are world famous. The whole of India celebrates the new moon day of Kartik month as Diwali festival, while the tribal society of Bastar region organizes Lakshmi Jagar, Lakshmi Vivah in the worship of Goddess Lakshmi on the arrival of new crops.
He said that since ancient times, by worshipping Mother Cow, feeding Khichdi to the livestock, the Diyari festival is celebrated with mutual harmony and social harmony by inviting the relatives of their society with great joy. The people of Bastar celebrate the Diyari festival as a festival of conservation of mature seeds.
