Former MLA Ugen Nedup joins BJP

Gangtok: Ugen Nedup Bhutia, a prominent political personality and former MLA from Kabi Lungchok constituency, officially joined the BJP on Thursday.

State BJP president DR Thapa along with party officials welcomed Ugen Nedup into the party during a brief membership program at Phensong in North Sikkim, a BJP release said.
“Ugen Nedup Bhutia joining BJP is a big boost for the party in Kabi Lungchok constituency under Mangan district. Bhutia, a social activist and former MLA (2014–2019), was also a candidate from the same constituency in the 2019 elections. He had previously worked in the national party with long-term experience in politics,” the state BJP said.
The release said that BJP Sikkim heartily welcomes Bhutia’s joining the party and believes that the presence of the experienced politician in the party will definitely strengthen the party organization in the region in realizing the dream of Developed India, Developed Sikkim. Will do.
