Twitter Co-founder Jack Dorsey has claimed in a video interview that his company had received several requests from India, in which it was asked to block the account covering the farmer’s movement. Along with this, there were requests to close those accounts too, which were opposing the government for the movement.

In fact, during the interview, when Jack Dorsey was asked whether you had to face pressure from foreign governments in the past years. In response to this, Jack Dorsey has said that let’s take India as an example, from where he had received many such requests, in which requests were made regarding the protest of the farmers. Especially in this, the account of those journalists were also mentioned, who were criticizing the government. He said that it seemed to him that if Twitter does not do this, then Twitter will be closed in India and the houses of Twitter employees located in India will be raided. Also, he has said that India is a democratic country.

Jack Dorsey compared India to Turkey and told that similar problem has been faced in Turkey as well. He said that the Turkish government had also threatened to shut down Twitter in Turkey, often engaging in court battles with the government and then winning.
