Four-storey hotel engulfed in fire, panic created

Durg. A fire broke out in the four-storey hotel Garnet Inn near the railway station of the district today, creating panic in the area. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the fire and disaster management team immediately reached the spot and entered the kitchen of the smoke-filled hotel and took out three commercial cylinders. After a lot of hard work, the fire was brought under control.

The team evacuated the people trapped in the hotel safely. The fire department controlled the fire in the four-storey hotel in time, which averted a major accident. Heavy loss of life and property was also avoided.

The hotel management team is investigating how the fire started. On receiving information about the arson, Mohan Nagar police has also reached the spot and is investigating the incident.
