Four year old innocent died after being crushed by a bus

Hyderabad: A four-year-old boy died after coming under the wheels of a private school bus at BN Reddy Nagar in Cherlapally on Friday. The boy, K. Pranay, a resident of BN Reddy Nagar, had come with his grandmother to send his brother and elder sister to school when the incident happened. According to the police, Pranay and his grandmother, Lakshmi, reached the school bus pickup point on the road to drop their brothers as per their tradition. Police said that while his grandmother was ensuring that his elder brothers got space to sit in the bus, Prannoy sat in front of the vehicle without looking. A police officer said, “As soon as the children came inside, the conductor, who did not account for Pranay, drove the school bus and the children were crushed to death.” According to reports, the child had come too close to the bus, obstructing the driver’s vision, the officer said. On receiving information, Cherlapalli police visited the spot and started investigation. The bus driver, identified as Ramulu, was arrested. A case of death due to negligence was registered. The child’s body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
