Fraud is happening to make food safety friend
Raipur. The advertisement circulated on social media regarding making food safety friend by taking money and giving salary every month is wrong and misleading. According to the information received by the officials of the Office of the Controller, Food and Drug Administration, some private companies are demanding an amount ranging from Rs 20 thousand to Rs one lakh on the pretext of making youths Food Safety Mitras. They are also being tempted to pay salary every month, which is totally wrong and misleading. Through social media, unknown companies are advertising Food Safety Mitra as the job of Central Food Safety Officer and their job is to go to hotel, restaurant, dhaba, food corner, inquire, make food license, audit, etc. is wrong and misleading.
The Food and Drug Administration Department of the State Government refutes any such advertisement. The department has appealed to the people not to believe in any such tempting advertisement and if any person or company gives such inducement, then the complaint should be lodged at the Office of the Controller, Food and Drug Administration, Block-1, 4th Floor, Indravati. Food and Drug Administration Department officials told that Food Safety Mitra is not allowed to check or take action on food license or food registration in any food establishment, nor is he entitled to any salary. If he does so, he will be eligible for punishment. On the request of food traders, Food Safety Mitra helps in making online applications for food license, food registration and annual turnover. For this they have to get F.S.S.A.I. (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) fixed incentive (Incentive) is available. It is necessary to give the bill or receipt of each work by the Food Safety Mitra to the food businessmen.
Officials said that Food Safety Mitra (Food Safety Mitra) is an initiative of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) New Delhi. Under this, graduates can become Food Safety Mitra by participating in online training modules prescribed by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. A specific procedure and criteria have been prescribed for this. To become a Food Safety Mitra, first of all, any person has to register himself online by going to the Food Safety Mitra’s portal. After registration, the applicant will have to study five training modules online. Each module is followed by ten multiple answer questions, out of which six questions require knowledge. The next module opens only after having the correct knowledge of the six questions set in each module. At last the authority conducts an online exam of 100 questions which carry 100 marks. To become a Food Safety Mitra, it is mandatory for the applicant to obtain 75 marks out of 100. After passing the online examination, the applicant has to deposit a security deposit of five thousand rupees. Only after this the applicant is awarded the Food Safety Mitra certificate by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, New Delhi.
