Five accused arrested for cheating by changing ATM card

Balrampur. An inter-state gang involved in cheating by changing ATMs was active in Ramanujganj police station area, which has been busted by the police. The gang members had withdrawn money from the woman’s account by changing her ATM card. Whose complaint was made by the woman to the police. After which the police arrested the accused within 24 hours. In this case, the police has arrested five accused. All these accused are residents of Bihar and Jharkhand.

On July 4, in Ramanujganj police station area, the victim Rakhi Toppo, a resident of Gram Panchayat Kanchannagar, was duped. The woman had come to Ramanujganj to withdraw money from the ATM. At the same time, two unknown people were found in the ATM of State Bank of India in Ramanujganj. The victim who was standing behind Rakhi Toppo. Both of them told the victim a false story that the ATM machine was out of order. After this, they cleverly changed the ATM of the victim. After that, they went to another bank ATM with the card and fled after withdrawing the money.

As soon as the victim came to know that she had been cheated. He lodged a complaint at Ramanujganj police station about withdrawal of Rs 16,000 from his account. The police started the investigation by registering a case of 400 BC in this case.

In the investigation of this case, the police identified the accused by removing the CCTV footage of the ATM. After this, the photographs of the accused were made viral in social media and WhatsApp groups. After which the police got information about the sighting of both the accused in Balrampur. The police gave information about the accused to the Ramanujganj police. After this, the police arrested five people from the car coming from Balrampur. Out of which two people including Rajpur Accepted to cheat by changing ATM in Ramanujganj.
