Mousaji Sweets under GST radar, raids underway

Bilaspur. Teams from the State GST department simultaneously raided all Mausaji Sweets establishments. Joint teams from Raipur and Bilaspur conducted this action based on a complaint of tax evasion. Officials seized the establishments’ computer systems, bills, receipts, and other documents.

Separate teams arrived at the establishments around 4:30 p.m. Four-member teams immediately took control of the computer systems. Officers and employees thoroughly examined all financial documents, including bills and receipts. This action was taken following a complaint of widespread tax evasion by the firm. On Monday (December 1), a dozen teams from the Raipur and Bilaspur State GST departments raided all Mausaji Sweets establishments. They seized documents, registers, files, computer systems, and laptops.

Following this, two teams of officers each began their investigation. It is reported that during the investigation, the officers were not receiving calls from anyone except the Commissioner.
