Gambling fund near liquor factory, police caught 9 people
Raigarh: Seeing the activity of people gambling with 52-card cards as Diwali approaches, the Kotwali police, on the instructions of SSP Sadanand Kumar, is conducting a raid on the gambling den after taking information from informers during night patrolling.
In the same sequence, during night patrolling, under the leadership of police station in-charge Kotwali Inspector Shanip Ratre, the Kotwali police cordoned off the information about card gambling on the road in front of Rampur liquor factory and conducted a raid. On the spot, the Kotwali police team arrested 9 gamblers – (1) Awadhesh Vaishnav, father Uttam Vaishnav, 25 years, Chuhipali police station, Sarangarh, Hall, Darridipa Raigarh (2) Shivkumar Bareth, father, Rameshwar Bareth, 34 years, Suloni police station, Sarangarh, Hall, Darridipa Raigarh, (3) Jai Kishan Sidar, father. Ajit Sidar 21 years resident of village Singha Umaria police station Pusaur Raigarh (4) Adil Mirza father Ahmed Mirza 22 years resident Chandmari Raigarh (5) Jishan Ali father Asmal Ali 23 years resident Govardhanpur Raigarh (6) Tridev Chauhan father Suresh Chauhan 28 years old resident Rampur Raigarh (7 ) Ashok Chauhan father Khushiram Chauhan 26 years Indira Nagar police station Kotwali Raigarh (8) Omprakash but father Krishna Nath 35 years Turipara police station Kotwali Raigarh (9) Saddam Hussain father Hassan Khan 35 years Chandmari Raigarh has been caught. 52 playing cards and ₹7000 in cash have been seized from the gamblers. Action has been taken against the accused in Police Station Kotwali under Section 3(2) of Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act 2022. Police station in-charge Kotwali inspector Shanip Ratre, head constable Hemant Patre, constable Jagmohan Ogre, Uttam Sarathi, Bhagwati Prasad Ratnakar and Hemsagar Patel were involved in the gambling raid proceedings.
