Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm Across Odisha
Odisha: Ganesh Chaturthi, or Ganesh Puja, is one of the most widely celebrated Hindu festivals in India. It was also celebrated with great devotion and excitement across the state of Odisha. Ganesh Chaturthi is a popular occasion that brings people from diverse backgrounds together to celebrate.
Educational institutions were beautifully decorated to mark this special day. Thousands of splendid puja pandals, or temporary temples, were set up all over the state, creating a joyful atmosphere.
Some pandals stood out due to their unique idols and decorations. These puja committees adorned their pandals with vibrant lights and creative materials, adding to the festive spirit. People from all over visited these mandaps to take part in the puja ceremonies.
Over 100 idols of Lord Ganesha have been installed in Talcher, which includes several educational institutions and pandals.
In several temples of Barhmapur, celebrations have already begun, and people are flocking to the pandals to seek blessings ahead of the Ganesh Chaturthi.
In Bhubaneswar, the decorations have already started in several clubs to celebrate the auspicious day. A 46-foot-tall idol has been installed in the Saheed Nagar Winner Association.
In many parts of the state, idols of Lord Ganesha have been welcomed with processions.
In addition to the traditional rituals, cultural events were organised at various pandals, providing entertainment and cultural enrichment to the attendees.
Moreover, it wasn’t just the grand pandals in the cities that saw celebrations. In almost every household, people gathered to pray to Lord Ganesh, seeking blessings for good health, wealth, and prosperity. The spirit of this festival reached every corner of Odisha.
