Ganja smuggling: 5 women arrested with ganja, goods worth lakhs seized

Sarkanda police has arrested five women who were bringing ganja from Odisha. One of these women also had a three-month-old child with her. Police has seized 38 kg of ganja from the possession of the women. Action has been taken against the accused women under the NDPS Act.

Sarkanda Police received information that some women were smuggling ganja. The women were near the Chhath Ghat. On this, the police team reached the spot. On seeing the police team, the women got down from the auto and started running. The jawans surrounded the spot and caught Nanki Sisodia alias Shikari (35), Indira Guada (35), Tulsi Shikari (22), Rukmila Shikari (25) and Shyama Shikari (40), all residents of Matiyari.
