Ganja worth 11 lakh seized from Swift car, juvenile arrested along with smuggler
Bastar: Bastar district police has seized a total of 113 kg of ganja on Chhattisgarh-Odisha border, which is worth about 11 lakh 30 thousand rupees. 2 smugglers have also been arrested. A minor is included among the smugglers. The case is of Nagarnar police station area. According to the information, the police had received information from an informer. Ganja is being brought from Odisha in a car. It will be taken to another state after crossing the CG border. Based on this information, the police blocked the road near Devda Road railway station.
As per the information given by the informer, a Swift car OR-07-V-9599 was coming towards Jagdalpur. During this time the car was stopped by the soldiers. The driver was questioned. He told his name as Manoj Galori. He is a resident of Malkangiri, Odisha. A minor was also with him.
The police searched the car. 113 kg of ganja was recovered in about 22 packets from the trunk of the car. The police arrested both the smugglers. Police officers said that the investigation of the case is ongoing. The accused have been presented in the court.
